Description
This is a slightly slouchy beanie with a wave-like pattern. The pattern and the yarn colours reminded me of water, and the way a stream of water meanders around.
This is a written pattern with chart only for the colourwork pattern
Sizes:
S (M,L)
finished sizes are 44 cm (48 cm, 51 cm), 17.25“ (19“, 20“), but the hat stretches quite a bit
sample is size M, worn on a head with 21.5“/54 cm circumference
Materials:
110 – 150 metres of DK weight yarn (MC)
45 – 65 metres of DK weight yarn (CC)
(sample used Schewe Sunshine, 106 metres of colour 03, 45 metres of colour 02)
3 mm knitting needles, set of dpns or short circular needle – for ribbing
3.5 mm knitting needles, set of dpns or short circular needle – for the rest of the hat
4 stitchmarkers
darning needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
23.5 sts per 4“/10 cm in stranded pattern with larger needles
