An easy to make hat with an eye-catching slip stitch pattern in two contrasting colours. Knit in the round, from the bottom up.

Thanks to a variety of sizes, this hat can be worn by everyone from child to adult.

The pattern for the matching cowl is available separately in my store

Sizes:
S (M, L), 16.5โ€œ (18โ€œ, 20.5โ€œ), 42 cm (46 cm, 52 cm)
Measurements are unstretched, the size M hat fits my 21โ€œ / 53 cm head, as shown in the pictures.

Materials:
DK weight yarn in two colours
110 yds / 120 m of main colour (red in the sample)
60 yds / 65 m of contrast colour (black in the sample)

3.5 mm / size 4 dpns or circular knitting needle, whatever your preferred method for knitting in the round is.

Gauge:
25 sts and 34 rows = 4โ€œ x 4โ€œ / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch

The pattern might look difficult at first glance, but it isnโ€™t really. Once you have set up the pattern, you will most likely be able to work on this without referring to the pattern all the time, because the colours align in a very obvious way which will make knitting rather intuitive.
