Description
This beautiful silk yarn with a sparkly thread doesn’t need any fancy stitches to make a beautiful shawl. I am sure you have that one special skein of variegated yarn in your stash, that you want to turn into something beautiful and wearable without losing the stitch pattern in the variegation of the yarn.
A garter crescent with some elongated stitches gives you a good size even from one skein of yarn, and the stockinette ruffle adds a bit of playfulness to it.
Now you might wonder where the name comes from: When I got this yarn, I knew it was the perfect colours for my mother, who turned 75 this summer – so I knit this shawl for her, and she is my model too. Because you are never too old to sparkle, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
